TRIO Helps Students Succeed

Â鶹ÊÓƵ offers TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) , a federally funded program designed to help underrepresented students reach their academic and career goals.
TRIO provides free, personalized support to students enrolled in two-year programs. Services include:
- One-on-one advising
- Tutoring and study skills workshops
- Financial aid guidance and financial literacy
- Transfer planning to four-year colleges
- Access to a resource and study room
- Cultural events and scholarship support
To qualify, students must be enrolled at Â鶹ÊÓƵ Tech, demonstrate academic need, and meet at least one requirement: being a first-generation college student, meeting federal income guidelines, or having a documented disability.
“TRIO is an academic support program, but at the heart of what we do is understand that in order to be successful, students have to be seen holistically. The only assumption we make about our students is that they have a goal they want to reach, and we are here to help them navigate it. Knowing that once they go to college and graduate, they can now help their families and communities do the same,” said Ashley Beeman, Trio Assistant Director.
