Â鶹ÊÓƵ Tech student selected for Cisco Live Dream Team

Brooklyn Park, May 8, 2023 -- Â鶹ÊÓƵ (Â鶹ÊÓƵ Tech) student Logan Shafland was selected for the Cisco Live Dream Team, a prestigious information technology internship. He’s one of only 10 students from across the U.S. and Canada to be selected for the honor.
Prior to enrolling at Â鶹ÊÓƵ Tech, Shafland served in the U.S. Marine Corps and worked as an Avionic Technician. In that role, he completed several overseas deployments. Currently, he is attending Â鶹ÊÓƵ Tech on the G.I. Bill.
Representing Â鶹ÊÓƵ Tech and its Cisco Networking Academy, Shafland will travel to Las Vegas, Nevada in June to work alongside Cisco engineers and his fellow Dream Team members. They will deploy the technologies needed to deliver a positive experience for IT professionals attending the Cisco Live annual conference.
Cisco covers the Dream Team’s travel expenses for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
The Dream Team is a unique professional development opportunity for students to work with industry leaders to deploy and support the event’s Network Operations Center. Shafland will gain real-world IT experience, attend conference sessions and complete a certification.
Dream Team selection criteria include demonstrated technical and professional skills, instructor recommendations and activities outside the classroom.
